First is along another thread already in here. If a player leaves of their own accord (prior commitment) and it leaves the team with only 2 ladies is that still going to be coaches choice if it is just an out? As I recall the rules, you can not start a game with only 2 ladies. If it does create a forfiet situation, it potentially puts a lot of "bad" feelings toward that coach...

A team may play with 2 female players to start a game. It means that the team will have to field only 9 players and take an automatic out at the bottom of the lineup. Your question brings up a good point though: If a team were to start a game with 2 females, and then one of them had to leave the game due to injury or a prior commitment, then technically it would create a forfeit situation. I would hope that in the case of injury, it wouldn't have to come to that and the opposing coach would allow the game to continue by stretching the rules a bit.
